How Do You Find Positivity In Unfavorable Situations?

How Do You Find Positivity In Unfavorable Situations?

Ask yourself, What can you learn from this,

so that it doesn’t happen again?

Ask yourself, What experiences that lead to this were worth it though?

Place the focus there.

I can’t and won’t ever sit here, behind my screen, and write as if my life is happily perfect, and things always go my way, or even as planned.

Shoot, I was just crying the other day because Life is just unfair.

But I am proud of myself for practicing positive ways of coping and managing my Life’s unfavorable happenings:

-Listening to music that matches the #mood

-Sitting in my feelings, crying, accepting where I am, and ask myself what is the immediate next step.

-Lighting a candle. I love aromatherapy. And if you didn’t know, Bath & Body Works has the best 3-Wick Candles (scent selection).

-Sleeping on it. Sometimes it really helps because my mind needs an overanalyzing break. And things / (y)our perspective can be different in the morning.

-Talking about It to someone you trust, and you feel understands you… or even a therapist too. The point is, do not hold It all in. Trust me.

-Unplugging. No music. Phone on DND. And sit in silence.

-Writing it down. Putting my thoughts into words helps me process what’s going on, and sometimes when it’s on paper, I see it’s not that bad, or I will make other revelations.

-Creating my own positive space with gentle reminders like, “There is always time,” and “All that I need will come to me at the right time and place in this life.”

-ACCEPTING THAT SOMETIMES LIFE SUCKS AND IS UNFAIR.

and that last one is just the reality of Life. It’s not always gonna be parties, celebrations, all love, and pretty scenery. It takes the unfavorable situations to really appreciate Life’s treasures.

Just think, if you were always receiving Life’s treasures, would you really appreciate them? No. It would just be another pretty place, or another party.

But if you’re experiencing difficulties, ask yourself,

What can you learn from this?

What experiences that lead to this have I enjoyed?

Focus on those aspects. Go from there.

Be sure you’re doing what’s necessary to get better, and never go back.

This is one of my favorite quotes:

Life is 20% what happens to you, and 80% how you react to it.

Meaning anything can happen to us, and it’s really up to us, the individual to either shut down, or get up!!

Godspeed.

Keep Your Posi-tive Vibes Close
